Skydance Cuts Eight Executives in Distribution Leadership Shuffle
Skydance restructured its distribution division and cut eight executives to help achieve $6 billion in savings following its $110 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.
Skydance announced a leadership shuffle in its distribution business, naming Sarah Bergman and Mickey Carter to lead the division. The move comes as the media entity, formed through a $110 billion merger of Paramount-Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, seeks to streamline operations.
Eight executives from the merged companies are departing. Those leaving from the Warner Bros. Discovery side include Rivka Golomb, Kelly Kane, Jeff Cross, and Rich Palermo. Departures from the Paramount side include David Comisar, Kurt Davis, Deena Demasi, and Ken Kay. Jeff Cross will transition to a role as senior advisor, with his previous duties transferred to Rick Baker.
Led by David Ellison, the company is targeting $6 billion in savings while managing approximately $80 billion in combined debt. These restructuring efforts occur amid broader industry consolidation and the continued growth of streaming services.
