Raja Krishnamoorthi Urges India-US Cooperation to Counter China
Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi called for deeper India-US cooperation in security and technology to confront strategic competition with China.
U.S. Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi advocated for deeper strategic cooperation between the United States and India to confront competition with China. In an interview with IANS, he described the China challenge as the "defining challenge of our time" and urged joint efforts in security and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, fusion energy, and solar power.
Krishnamoorthi argued that the two nations must strengthen their democracies and reduce internal divisions to succeed. Regarding Chinese influence in the U.S., he stated that while social media influence operations remain a concern, there is no evidence that Beijing interfered with vote counting or tabulation.
Linking national competitiveness to immigration, Krishnamoorthi criticized the treatment of H-1B workers. He called on the U.S. government to expedite the green card process for long-term visa holders to foster economic and technological prosperity.
