T-Mobile to Lay Off 77 Washington Employees and Close 7 Stores
T-Mobile USA will lay off 77 employees and close seven retail stores across Washington state between September and November 2026 due to changing business needs.
T-Mobile USA will lay off 77 employees in Washington state between September 21 and November 18, 2026. A notice filed with the Washington State Employment Security Department indicates the cuts include 63 newly affected workers and 14 employees whose previous separation dates were deferred.
The company cited changing business needs as the reason for the permanent reductions, noting that some cuts are tied to relocations. The layoffs impact a range of positions, including systems architects, product and engineering directors, and retail store managers.
As part of the restructuring, T-Mobile will close seven retail stores in Seattle, Bellingham, Bothell, Vancouver, Tacoma, Yakima, and Kennewick. The company's call center in Bellingham and its headquarters in Bellevue will remain operational.
