Egyptian Consortium Secures $6 Billion Oman Energy Project Deal

A consortium of Petrojet and ENPPI signed a six-year framework agreement with Petroleum Development Oman to compete for energy infrastructure projects valued over $6 billion.

A consortium comprising Egyptian firms Petrojet SC and ENPPI SC signed a six-year engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) framework agreement with Petroleum Development Oman. The deal, signed at the company's headquarters in Muscat, grants the Egyptian alliance eligibility to bid for projects within a portfolio valued at more than $6 billion.

As one of four global groups qualified for the framework, the consortium can submit tenders for detailed engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and project management of future oil and gas facilities and infrastructure. The agreement is designed to support upstream developments in Oman and expand the international presence of Egypt's petroleum-sector companies.

The partnership aligns with Oman Vision 2040 by supporting in-country value goals. This includes facilitating knowledge transfer, training Omani engineers, and increasing the involvement of local supply chains. The Government of Egypt Ministry of Petroleum noted that the deal supports a broader national strategy to increase the export of technical and engineering services in the regional energy market.
