Google Integrates Gemini Spark AI Into Chrome Browser
Google integrated its Gemini Spark AI agent with Chrome to automate multi-step web tasks while expanding the agent's availability to 160 additional countries.
Google integrated its Gemini Spark AI agent with the Chrome browser, launching a new feature called Chrome auto browse. The tool enables the AI agent to navigate websites using a user's signed-in accounts and saved passwords to perform multi-step errands, including comparing flight options, scheduling apartment viewings, and initiating booking processes.
To maintain security, the AI returns control to the user for sensitive actions such as processing payments. Google stated it has implemented protections against prompt injection to prevent hidden instructions on webpages from manipulating the agent's behavior.
While the auto browse capabilities are initially restricted to the United States, the company is simultaneously expanding access to Gemini Spark for AI Pro subscribers in more than 160 additional countries.
