USA Rare Earth Expands Production and Seeks Trump Administration Deal

USA Rare Earth is acquiring LCM and building an Oklahoma plant to scale domestic rare earth magnet production and reduce reliance on Chinese imports.

Investment analysts have identified high-growth potential in critical minerals, specifically highlighting USA Rare Earth as it moves to scale domestic production of rare earth magnets for electric vehicles and defense equipment. The company is developing a new magnet plant in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and is in the process of acquiring U.K.-based LCM for approximately $106.74 million.

CEO Barbara Humpton stated that the company is in communication with the Trump administration regarding a potential deal. This pursuit follows a similar pattern of government support, such as a 15% stake acquired by the United States Department of Defense in MP Materials to secure domestic supply chains and reduce dependence on Chinese imports.
