Ukraine Deploys Long-Range Drones Against Russian Oil Infrastructure
Armed Forces of Ukraine are using long-range drones to strike Russian refineries and logistics to disrupt funding for the ongoing conflict.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have entered a new operational phase of the conflict, increasing the use of long-range drones to target Russian military logistics, oil routes, and refineries. This strategy, executed by the Unmanned Systems Forces, aims to hinder Russian oil exports and disrupt the financial resources used to sustain the war effort.
While Ukrainian forces are reportedly capturing more territory and inflicting casualties at a rate exceeding Russian mobilization, the situation remains volatile. Russia continues to launch missile strikes against civilian objects and the city of Kyiv as a means of intimidation. Ukraine currently lacks the capabilities to fully prevent these aerial attacks.
