The Cheesecake Factory Reports Record Third Quarter Revenue

The Cheesecake Factory reported record third-quarter revenues exceeding $1 billion, driven by a 15.2% increase in same-store sales and aggressive marketing strategies.

The Cheesecake Factory reported record-breaking financial results for the third quarter ended September 29, with total revenues exceeding $1 billion. The casual-dining chain saw net income rise to $61.3 million, nearly double the $31.9 million reported during the same period last year. Same-store sales increased by 15.2%, supported by a 9.5% growth in traffic that outperformed analyst expectations.

Brand president David Gordon attributed the growth to a more aggressive marketing strategy focused on social media engagement, the launch of the Cheesecake Rewards program, and culinary innovations including the Bowls & Bites menu section. Gordon noted that the company has shifted its approach to social media content and is now more open to engaging with the brand than it was a year prior.

The company expanded its portfolio to 380 locations after opening six new restaurants during the quarter. The Cheesecake Factory plans to open up to 26 additional locations by the end of the fiscal year.
