Russia Accelerates Rassvet Satellite Deployment and Missile Production

The Federal Government of Russia is deploying its Rassvet satellite internet system at a pace exceeding original projections, according to Major General Vadym Skibitskyi of Ukraine's GUR military intelligence service. The network currently consists of 16 satellites providing intermittent coverage over Ukrainian territory. Russia intends to expand the constellation to 292 satellites by 2027 and 924 by 2035 to mirror the capabilities of SpaceX's Starlink.

Beyond space capabilities, Russia has already met its annual production targets for Zircon and Oniks missiles within the first seven months of the year. Production is currently exceeding 2026 goals by 10% to 20%. Russian forces are reportedly prioritizing Ukrainian drone and ballistic missile production facilities as targets for a missile campaign supported by an estimated stockpile of 130 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
