Aramco Awards Marjan Offshore Field Upgrade Contract to KBR
Aramco contracted KBR to provide engineering and project execution services for facility upgrades at the Marjan offshore field in the Arabian Gulf.
Aramco awarded a contract to KBR for engineering and project execution services to upgrade facilities at the Marjan offshore field in the Arabian Gulf. The project focuses on supporting critical infrastructure, including power facilities, gas compression, and offshore processing, to maintain production capacity and improve gas processing capabilities.
KBR will integrate digital technologies, automation, and power system enhancements to improve the long-term performance of the offshore assets. Engineering work for the project will be managed through KBR offices located in Houston and Al-Khobar.
Jay Ibrahim, President of Sustainable Technology Solutions at KBR, stated that the award reflects the company's long project execution relationship with Aramco. He noted that KBR intends to combine offshore engineering expertise with digital integration to meet the energy company's expectations.
