Ford Recalls 102,159 F-Series Trucks Over Speedometer Defects
Ford Motor Company is recalling over 102,000 F-Series pickup trucks from 2025-2026 model years due to faulty analog instrument cluster modules.
Ford Motor Company is recalling 102,159 F-Series pickup trucks from the 2025 and 2026 model years because of a defect in the analog instrument cluster modules. The flaw causes speedometers and tachometers to stick, jump erratically, or provide inaccurate readings, which the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes increases the risk of a crash.
The recall affects certain 2025 and 2026 Super Duty models, including the F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600, as well as 2026 F-150s and one 2026 F-750. Ford's Critical Concern Review Group discovered the issue in May, tracing the inaccurate readings to process deficiencies from a specific supplier batch of modules.
Since January 2025, the company identified 18 warranty reports and 93 field reports, though it confirmed no crashes, injuries, or fires have occurred. Because the defect is hardware-based, no over-the-air software update is available. Dealers will replace the instrument cluster modules free of charge.
Interim owner notifications will be mailed between October 26 and October 30, 2026. Remedy letters are scheduled to follow from December 7 to December 11, with a permanent remedy expected by the end of the year.
