Pete Ricketts and Dan Osborn to Debate at Nebraska State Fair

The Nebraska State Fair will host a U.S. Senate debate on September 1 at the Big Iron Events Center in Lincoln. Pete Ricketts, the incumbent Republican Senator, will face nonpartisan candidate Dan Osborn in the first political debate held at the state fair since 2018.

News Channel Nebraska will moderate the event, which features a question panel with reporters from the Omaha World-Herald, Flatwater Free Press, and The Examiner. Ricketts plans to emphasize his record on public safety and border security. Conversely, Osborn intends to present a contrast in vision focused on the working class.

While Legal Marijuana NOW Party candidate Mike Marvin remains in the race, he has not qualified for the debate. The general election is scheduled for November 3.
