Shenzhen Trade With APEC Economies Grows 33 Percent

The Government of Shenzhen increased trade with APEC economies by 33 percent in early 2026, reaching 1.98 trillion yuan through expanded logistics and digital services.

The Government of Shenzhen increased its trade with Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies by 33 percent during the first half of 2026. Total trade volume reached 1.98 trillion yuan, or approximately 296.8 billion U.S. dollars, representing 68.8 percent of the city's total foreign trade.

City officials attributed the growth to initiatives designed to improve global business services and enhance computing power for digital trade. To support these goals, the Port of Shenzhen inaugurated 30 new shipping routes linking the city to other APEC economies since the beginning of the year. These efforts focused on ensuring smooth logistics and empowering digital trade infrastructure to facilitate higher volumes of international commerce.
