Uber Executives Integrate AI Tools Into Corporate Workflows

Uber Chief Product Officer Sachin Kansal has integrated OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini into his executive workflow to manage high volumes of data. Kansal uses these tools to summarize reports that can reach 100 pages in length and to analyze rider sentiment across international markets, including Brazil, Korea, and South Africa.

Beyond summarization, Kansal employs AI's deep research capabilities as a foundation for brainstorming new driver features with his team. He also plans to adopt Google Lab's NotebookLM to utilize its Audio Overview feature, which converts information into AI-generated podcasts for easier consumption.

These adoptions align with a broader corporate strategy established by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi. In April, Khosrowshahi directed that AI proficiency, specifically the use of AI agents for coding, would become an absolute necessity for all 30,000 Uber employees within one year.
