Planet Labs and Snowflake Report FY 2026 Revenue Growth

Planet Labs and Snowflake reported revenue growth for fiscal year 2026 despite both companies recording significant net losses.

Planet Labs PBC and Snowflake both reported revenue increases for fiscal year 2026, though both companies continue to operate at a net loss. Planet Labs generated $307.7 million in revenue, a 26% increase over the previous year, while reporting a net loss of $246.9 million attributed to high orbital hardware costs. The company relies primarily on multi-year licensing agreements with NATO and the U.S. government, maintaining a competitive advantage through its satellite constellation despite competition from SpaceX and Airbus.

Snowflake reported nearly $4.7 billion in revenue, representing roughly 30% year-over-year growth, alongside a net loss of $1.3 billion. The company operates a consumption-based AI Data Cloud platform with more than 13,000 customers. While Snowflake faces competition from major cloud providers like Microsoft and Amazon, it recently signed a $6 billion services agreement with Amazon Web Services.
