India Joins Cote d'Ivoire 66th Independence Day Celebrations
Kirti Vardhan Singh attended Cote d'Ivoire's 66th Independence Day in Abidjan to strengthen diplomatic and defense ties between the two nations.
Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh attended the 66th Independence Day celebrations in Abidjan on August 7. During the event, Singh emphasized India's commitment to strengthening a "multifaceted partnership" with Cote d'Ivoire. The celebrations featured an Indian Armed Forces marching contingent, which Singh noted reflected the deepening bonds of goodwill between the two countries.
This diplomatic visit follows a series of defense engagements aimed at increasing military-to-military cooperation. Last week in New Delhi, India's Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, met with Major General Koffi N'Guessan, the Chief of the Air Staff of the Cote d'Ivoire Air Force. The two leaders focused on enhancing bilateral defense cooperation and strategic engagement.
