Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong Leads Wisconsin Governor Primary

Democratic socialist and state lawmaker Francesca Hong has emerged as the frontrunner in the Democratic primary for Governor of Wisconsin. Hong is campaigning on a progressive platform that includes universal childcare, full funding for public schools, and a one-year moratorium on datacenter construction. Her candidacy has created friction within the party, leading Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley to reenter the race with the endorsement of outgoing Governor Tony Evers.
