Energy Prices Rise in Pakistan and Philippines for August

Energy costs are increasing across multiple regions for August 2026. In Pakistan, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority raised RLNG prices by nearly 32.5% and increased LPG prices by Rs12.88 per kilogram, which brings the cost of a domestic cylinder to Rs3,001.

In the Philippines, liquefied petroleum gas prices are expected to rise as tensions in the Middle East disrupt markets. Republic Gas Corp. reported that supply remains stable, however, as vendors diversify their sources to include the United States. Conversely, Philippine pump prices for diesel and gasoline may see a rollback of up to P1.50 per liter next week. This potential decrease follows a period of significant hikes and reflects cautious optimism regarding the US-Iran conflict.
