Huawei Launches Watch D3 and GT 7 Smartwatch Series
Huawei introduced a new lineup of smartwatches featuring the health-focused Watch D3 and the outdoor-oriented GT 7 Pro series.
Huawei launched a new lineup of smartwatches on September 2, headlined by the health-focused Watch D3 and the sports-oriented GT 7 series. The Watch D3 features a mechanized inflatable cuff built into the strap to provide 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, a more precise method than the LED-based insights used by competitors. The D3 is slimmer and lighter than previous models, though it remains unavailable in the United States due to a telecommunications technology ban.
At an Innovative Product Launch event in Munich, the company unveiled the Watch GT 7 Pro, designed for outdoor sports under the tagline "Chase the Wind." The GT 7 Pro features a titanium alloy body, a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, and Harmony OS 2.0. Hardware updates include an EasyCross strap mechanism and a battery that lasts up to 21 days under light use. The GT 7 series also includes AI-enhanced XDR GPS for tunnels and indoor skiing, along with maps for over 3,000 ski resorts.
Additional models introduced include the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Pro lifestyle watches. The GT 7 series is available starting September 2, while the Watch D3 and Watch 6 series will be available from September 23. Huawei Mobile South Africa is expected to list the devices on its local online store in the coming days, though official retail prices have not yet been shared.
