Nvidia Reports $96.2 Billion Revenue Amid Rising Receivables

Nvidia reported a 106% revenue increase to $96.2 billion while extending payment terms for large customers and guaranteeing $105 billion in OpenAI lease obligations.

Nvidia Inc. reported $96.2 billion in revenue for its fiscal second quarter, a 106% increase over the previous year that exceeded market expectations. The company maintained a 75% gross margin and issued guidance of $108 billion in revenue for the current quarter, projecting approximately 70% revenue growth for the next fiscal year.

Despite the growth, the company's balance sheet shows a significant rise in receivables, which grew from $38.5 billion in January to $63.1 billion by the end of July. This shift increased Nvidia's days sales outstanding from 45 to 60 days within a single quarter. The company attributed the increase to the extension of payment terms for large orders from specific customers.

To support AI infrastructure, Nvidia partnered to raise over $500 billion in outside capital to help customers finance product purchases. Additionally, the company has guaranteed up to $105 billion in data center lease obligations for OpenAI.
