ADC Names Bello Isah Ambarura as Sokoto Deputy Governor Candidate
The African Democratic Congress named Representative Bello Isah Ambarura as the deputy governorship candidate to run with Manir Muhammad Dan’iya in the 2027 Sokoto elections.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto State has nominated Honorable Bello Isah Ambarura as the deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 elections. Manir Muhammad Dan’iya, the party's governorship candidate, will lead the ticket alongside Ambarura, who currently represents the Illela/Gwadabawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Party leadership stated the selection resulted from extensive consultations and consensus-building among stakeholders and elders, including Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. Ambarura brings a background as a former Permanent Secretary in the Sokoto State Civil Service, a former Commissioner for Commerce and Industries, and the Majority Leader of the Sokoto State House of Assembly from 2019 to 2023.
The ADC intends to pair Dan’iya's financial management expertise with Ambarura's administrative and legislative experience to address state challenges. The campaign will focus on improving security, education, healthcare, and infrastructure across Sokoto State.
