The collaboration addresses security risks associated with the transition from simple chatbots to autonomous agents that operate with minimal human oversight.
The system utilizes Google Cloud's Vertex AI and Tensor Processing Units to perform real-time safety and moderation checks locally within customer environments. This architecture is intended to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, GDPR, and the EU AI Act.
AI Guardrails specifically targets threats such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, and malicious ghost commands. To standardize threat detection, the solution maps its findings to the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs and the MITRE ATLAS frameworks.
