Democrats Accuse Ralph Alvarado of Scrubbing Trump From Website

Democratic candidates and party leaders accuse Republican Ralph Alvarado of removing mentions of Donald Trump from his campaign site to distance himself from the president.

The Kentucky Democratic Party and congressional candidate Zach Dembo have accused Republican candidate Ralph Alvarado of scrubbing mentions of President Donald Trump from his campaign website. Archived versions of the site previously identified Alvarado as an early supporter of Trump committed to securing the border and stopping the woke agenda, while the current version emphasizes bipartisanship, independent leadership, and the cost of living.

Campaign manager Alex Westberry dismissed the claims as a smear campaign, stating that a photo of Alvarado with Trump remains in the site's media gallery. Westberry attributed the shift in rhetoric to a recommendation from the president's pollster for Republican campaigns to prioritize healthcare issues.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee described the changes as a quiet rebrand by a two-faced politician. Party Chairman Coleman Elridge claimed Alvarado is attempting to cover up support for policies that make life difficult for Kentucky families.
