Apple scheduled a product launch event for October 28 in Los Angeles to unveil a touchscreen MacBook Pro and M6-powered Mac computers.
Apple Inc. scheduled a product launch event for October 28 at 1 PM ET in Los Angeles. The event follows a smart home-focused launch held on October 13 and is expected to headline the introduction of the company's first-ever touchscreen MacBook Pro. This new laptop is reported to feature an OLED display, a thinner and lighter chassis, and a Dynamic Island, powered by M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
Other anticipated announcements include a 14-inch MacBook Pro and a new iMac, both powered by M6 chips, with the iMac expected to support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Apple is also expected to refresh the iPad mini with an OLED screen, updated speakers, and a landscape-oriented front camera utilizing either an A19 Pro or A20 Pro chip.
Retail availability for these products is expected to begin November 6. Some reports suggest a staggered rollout through November 13, potentially including a HomePod mini 2 and a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K. Separately, Apple confirmed that the iPhone Duo will launch in India on October 23 and a 512GB unified memory configuration for the Mac Studio will be available by the end of October. The company is also reportedly developing a high-end HomeView smart home display with a robotic arm for a 2027 or 2028 release.
