Bahrain Opens Bidding for Multi-Storey Factory Complex in Hidd

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce launched a tender for a vertical factory complex in Salman Industrial City to support SMEs and entrepreneurs.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain has opened bidding for the development of a multi-storey factory complex in Salman Industrial City, located within the Bahrain International Investment Park in Hidd. Announced during the Made in GCC 2026 Forum and Exhibition, the project utilizes a vertical development model to maximize industrial land use.

The site covers 6,700 square meters with a total floor area of approximately 10,720 square meters. The successful bidder will lease the land from the ministry and assume responsibility for the construction, management, and operation of the complex. Industrial units within the facility are reserved exclusively for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized industrial enterprises to reduce their initial capital costs.

Mohamed Khaled Noor, the ministry's director of industrial areas, stated that the project serves as a model for maximizing land efficiency while providing flexible options for start-ups to grow. The ministry will select the winning bidder based on the rental value offered for the land. Interested investors must submit their bids through the Tender and Auction Board electronic portal by December 23, 2026.
