Following fan backlash, Madison Square Garden Sports announced it would roll back pricing to the previous year's rates plus an average increase of 12%, matching the hike given to season-ticket holders. The organization stated that customers who purchased tickets at the inflated rates will be refunded the difference. Sales are expected to restart early next week.

The pricing mistake occurred amid high demand as the team prepares to raise its first championship banner in over 50 years.
