UN Reports Over 1,330 Israeli Settler Attacks in West Bank
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported more than 1,330 Israeli settler attacks in the West Bank since January 2026.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that Israeli settlers have carried out more than 1,330 attacks in the occupied West Bank since January 2026. These incidents resulted in significant damage to Palestinian property, including the vandalism and burning of agricultural facilities, mosques, and homes. Since the start of the year, 77 Palestinians, including 18 children, have been killed by settlers or Israeli forces.
Recent escalations since last Thursday left at least eight Palestinians, including one child, and two Israelis dead. Human rights organizations allege that Israeli soldiers have either actively participated in these settler attacks or ignored them as they occurred.
In addition to the violence, the UN office found that Israeli forces have tightened movement restrictions. These measures have prevented thousands of Palestinians from accessing medical care and other essential services.
