Chipotle Opens 1,500th Chipotlane in Bradenton Florida
Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its 1,500th digital-order drive-thru lane in Florida as part of a long-term plan to reach 7,000 locations.
Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its 1,500th Chipotlane, a digital-order drive-thru lane, in Bradenton, Florida. The company has scaled the format rapidly since its 2018 debut, adding 500 lanes in less than two years. Executives report that Chipotlane locations generate 15% to 20% higher sales than traditional stores and offer quicker returns.
The Bradenton location utilizes the company's Habanero restaurant design and a High-Efficiency Equipment Package to streamline back-of-house operations. Chief Operating Officer Jason Kidd described the format as a powerful growth engine that provides greater convenience for guests while driving restaurant performance.
Chipotle plans to open 350 to 370 new restaurants in 2026. The company has set a long-term goal of reaching 7,000 locations across the United States and Canada, an increase from the nearly 4,000 locations it operated at the end of 2025.
