JPMorgan Reports Stalled Inflows for Hyperliquid ETFs
JPMorgan reports that inflows into Hyperliquid ETFs stalled in July and August due to rising competition from regulated centralized platforms.
Analysts at JPMorgan Chase & Co. report that inflows into Hyperliquid exchange-traded funds stalled during July and August. This follows a period of significant growth in May and June. The bank attributes the decline to intensified competition from regulated centralized cryptocurrency derivatives platforms and crowded prediction markets.
Market analysts suggest that the potential introduction of U.S.-regulated crypto perpetual futures may further shift trading activity away from decentralized offshore venues like Hyperliquid, as investors prioritize compliance and licensing. Currently, Hyperliquid and other smaller crypto ETFs manage between $2 billion and $3 billion collectively, far behind bitcoin and ether ETFs, which hold approximately $77 billion and $10 billion respectively.
Despite the slowdown in ETF demand, the Hyperliquid HYPE token continues to be a high-growth asset. It currently ranks as the fourth-largest crypto asset held in corporate treasuries, following bitcoin and ether.
