WISeKey and Jura to Build Post-Quantum Cybersecurity Center

WISeKey International Holding Ltd, its subsidiary SEALSQ Corp, and the Republic and Canton of Jura signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 21, 2026, to establish the Post-Quantum Semiconductor and Cybersecurity Center in Delémont, Switzerland. The public-private initiative involves an indicative investment of CHF 40-60 million over six years to develop sovereign Swiss capabilities for the design, personalization, and testing of post-quantum semiconductor technologies.

The center will specifically utilize SEALSQ's QS7001 Quantum Shield technology. By its eighth year, the project aims to create over 250 direct jobs by leveraging the precision manufacturing and microtechnology expertise of the Jura region. The initiative also intends to explore opportunities within Swiss defense procurement and armasuisse industrial participation programs.

This project adapts a model previously implemented by WISeKey and SEALSQ in Murcia, Spain. The partnership is designed to ensure Switzerland can protect cryptographic roots of trust inside semiconductors on its own soil, treating cybersecurity as a matter of technological sovereignty.
