Dangote Refinery Raises Diesel Price to N1,800 per Litre
Dangote Refinery increased its gantry diesel price to N1,800 per litre, a move expected to drive up retail costs in Abuja.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals Fze increased the price of its gantry Automotive Gas Oil, known as diesel, to N1,800 per litre on October 10, 2026. This N100 per litre hike follows a price reduction three days earlier, when the refinery had lowered the cost by N80 per litre to N1,700.
Despite the increase, the refinery's pricing remains N105 lower than other depot owners, including Pivot, African Terminal, and Integrated, who are selling at N1,905 per litre. The adjustment is expected to push retail diesel prices in Abuja and surrounding areas above the current range of N1,960 to N1,980 per litre.
Global oil benchmarks at the time of the price change placed Brent crude at $104 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate at $91 per barrel.
