c2c Implements Train Disruptions Across East London and Essex

c2c is implementing a series of late-night train disruptions and diversions across East London and Essex to accommodate engineering works. From 10:45 p.m. on September 1 through September 3, services between Barking and Pitsea via Laindon will be diverted via Grays, bypassing Upminster, West Horndon, Laindon, and Basildon. During this period, Ockendon line services between Upminster and Grays will also be disrupted, with trains via Tilbury bypassing Upminster, Ockendon, and Chafford Hundred.

Rail replacement buses will operate on both affected routes. To assist commuters, c2c is allowing passengers to use their tickets on the District line between Barking and Upminster.

Further disruptions are scheduled for Sunday, September 6, between Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea. Basildon line trains will be limited to Fenchurch Street and Basildon, bypassing Stratford, while replacement buses will run between Basildon and Shoeburyness. Peak-time shuttle trains will operate between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness, and Ockendon line services will run between Upminster and Stanford-le-Hope with bus support. For these Sunday works, season ticket holders may use Greater Anglia services between Southend Victoria and London Liverpool Street, and tickets will be accepted on the Jubilee line between Stratford and West Ham.
