Palo Alto Networks Considers $7 Billion SentinelOne Acquisition

Palo Alto Networks is weighing a $7 billion acquisition of Israeli cybersecurity firm SentinelOne to bolster its AI-based attack detection and cloud security capabilities.

Palo Alto Networks is considering the acquisition of SentinelOne, an Israeli cybersecurity firm, in a deal estimated at $7 billion. While neither company has officially confirmed the transaction, reports of the potential merger caused SentinelOne shares to rise 16.5% to $20.98.

SentinelOne specializes in AI-based behavioral attack detection and operates a major development center in Israel. The merger would integrate two leading brands in endpoint protection, cloud environments, and AI services. This move is intended to strengthen the competitive position of Palo Alto Networks against industry rivals Microsoft and CrowdStrike.

Palo Alto Networks has a established history of investing in the Israeli tech sector, having previously acquired firms such as Demisto and Bridgecrew. The company currently operates its largest development center outside the United States in Tel Aviv.
