Delhi Launches Special Camps to Enroll Missing Voters
The Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi established special enrollment camps at universities and polling stations to add eligible voters to the electoral rolls.
The Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi announced the launch of special enrollment camps across the national capital to register eligible voters omitted from the electoral rolls. This initiative is part of a Special Intensive Revision following instructions issued by the Election Commission of India on October 1.
To increase youth participation, two-day camps are being held at colleges and universities on October 7 and 8, with additional sessions scheduled for October 9 and 11 at all polling stations. Booth Level Officers are supplementing these efforts through house-to-house visits, specifically assisting displaced residents from demolished colonies in registering at their new addresses.
Eligible citizens may submit Form 6 through the Election Commission's portal, mobile app, or offline during the claims and objections period, which runs from August 31 to October 30. While officials expect to resolve all notices and objections by November 30, reports differ on the final publication date of the electoral roll, with dates cited as either December 4 or December 12.
