Thousands March Across UK and Ireland for Palestine
Pro-Palestine demonstrators marched through Dublin, Edinburgh, and London on October 10 to mark three years of war in Gaza and demand an end to the Israeli occupation.
More than 10,000 people marched through Dublin city centre on October 10, 2026, to mark three years of war in Gaza. Organized by the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign and supported by over 160 civil society groups, the protest moved from the Garden of Remembrance to the Dáil. During the rally, speakers criticized the restriction of aid, fuel, and food into Gaza, while campaign chair Zoë Lawlor characterized the Gaza ceasefire as "an absolute fiction" and accused the Irish Government of "abdicating its reasonability" to the Palestinian people.
Simultaneous demonstrations occurred across the United Kingdom. In Edinburgh, thousands of protesters organized by the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign marched from The Mound to the Scottish Parliament. This event followed recent student protests at the University of Edinburgh and University of Glasgow regarding institutional ties to Israeli firms. Police intervened during the Edinburgh rally to remove a man filming attendees with smart glasses.
A coinciding march took place in London, organized by the Palestine Coalition. These coordinated actions follow a 2025 United Nations commission report alleging that Israel committed genocidal acts in Gaza and a 2024 International Criminal Court arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
