Modular Housing Firm Agile Property and Homes Enters Administration

Agile Property and Homes entered administration on July 6 after rising build costs and industry-wide financial pressures forced the low-carbon construction firm into collapse.

Agile Property and Homes, a UK-based construction firm specializing in low-carbon, modular affordable housing, entered administration on July 6, 2026. The company, which utilized timber and straw materials and zero-waste manufacturing, failed to secure a buyer despite previous discussions.

Andy Pear of the administration firm Moorfields attributed the collapse to broader industry financial pressures, specifically the increase in build costs. Financial records for the year ending June 30, 2025, indicate the firm faced significant liabilities, with creditors falling within one year totaling £1,862,792 against debtors of £259,636.

Based in Oxfordshire with additional offices in Bristol, the firm had promoted a sustainability-first approach to construction and home operation to minimize waste over the lifetime of its projects.
