Wroxham Travel Ceases Trading After 39 Years
Wroxham Travel ceased trading on October 30, 2026, prompting ABTA to declare the closure a financial failure and advise affected customers to contact tour operators.
The independent UK travel agency Wroxham Travel ceased trading on October 30, 2026, ending 39 years of operation. Based in Norwich with offices in Hoveton and Aylsham, the agency specialized in holiday packages to destinations such as Turkey, Portugal, and Greece.
The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) is treating the closure as a financial failure. ABTA has urged affected customers to review their booking documents or ATOL certificates to identify the principal tour operator and contact their credit control departments directly to ensure their travel plans proceed.
This collapse occurs amid a period of instability within the UK travel sector throughout 2026. Other recent industry failures include the suspension of services by Wayfairer Travel Limited and the administration or liquidation of four airlines: Zenith Aviation Limited, EcoJet Airlines, Ascend Airways, and European Cargo.
