Apple Plans MacBook Neo 2 Launch for March 2027
Apple Inc. will launch the MacBook Neo 2 in March 2027 as part of a new annual spring release cycle for consumer hardware.
Apple Inc. plans to launch the MacBook Neo 2 in late March 2027, establishing a new annual spring release cadence for its consumer-focused laptop line. The device will feature the A19 Pro chipset, utilizing silicon repurposed from iPhone 17 Pro production lines that did not meet quality control standards for smartphones.
To support expanded on-device Apple Intelligence and Siri AI in macOS 27, the MacBook Neo 2 will increase its base unified memory to 12GB, up from 8GB in the first model. This hardware shift aligns with a broader retail strategy where the company splits its hardware roadmap, releasing professional iPhone models in September and consumer-focused models—including the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2—in the spring.
This timing ensures that the iPhone 18 Pro family maintains priority over constrained silicon supplies before the MacBook Neo 2 enters production. The available supply of A19 Pro chipsets is determined by the fabrication processes of TSMC.
