Samsung to Launch W27 Luxury Foldable in China
Samsung will announce the W27 luxury foldable smartphone on October 29 for the Chinese market, featuring high-end hardware and a gold-accented design.
Samsung has scheduled an announcement for October 29, 2026, in China to introduce the W27, a luxury book-style foldable smartphone exclusive to the Chinese market. Leaked images show the device features a dark blue finish with gold accents on the frame and camera island, along with the signature W-series gold seal logo.
While official specifications remain unconfirmed, reports indicate the W27 will share identical hardware with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. This includes a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, an 8-inch foldable main display, a 6.5-inch cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 200MP main camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery. Following the precedent of the W26, the device is expected to feature 16GB of RAM as standard.
The October 29 event will reveal the official name, pricing, and retail availability. The W27 is expected to be sold exclusively through China Telecom, with some reports suggesting retail units could be available as early as November 5. Samsung has not confirmed any plans for an international launch of the device.
