John Dramani Mahama began a two-day working visit to the Ahafo Region on Friday, October 9, 2026, as part of his Resetting Ghana Tour. The president is inspecting several infrastructure and economic initiatives, including the Tepa–Goaso Road project under the Big Push Programme and the Ntontroso Bridge, which connects the food-producing hub of Acherensua.
During the tour, the president visited a poultry, meat, and feed processing facility in Bechem. Accompanied by a delegation of ministers, including the ministers for Food and Agriculture, Roads and Highways, and Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, he is receiving status briefings and meeting with local chiefs and residents to discuss economic growth policies.
The visit concludes Saturday with a town hall meeting at the Victory Centre Assemblies of God Church in Goaso. Titled the #ResettingGhana Citizens Engagement with President Mahama, the event is designed to gather public feedback and address community concerns directly.
