South Carolina Commission Schedules Dominion and NextEra Merger Review

The Public Service Commission of South Carolina has adopted a procedural schedule to review a proposed business combination between Dominion Energy, Inc. and NextEra Energy, Inc. The established timeline requires intervening parties to apply by September 10, 2026. Petitioners must submit direct testimony by September 28, 2026, while the Office of Regulatory Staff and other involved parties are expected to provide testimony by October 28, 2026.

Rebuttal testimony is scheduled for November 18, 2026, leading up to a formal hearing on December 8, 2026. The commission expects to issue a final order regarding the merger by January 29, 2027.
