Russia Strikes Seven Ukrnafta Oil and Gas Sites
Russian forces launched a massive overnight strike on seven Ukrnafta production sites and four filling stations in eastern Ukraine, destroying critical equipment.
The Military of Russia launched a massive overnight strike on August 7, targeting seven oil and gas production sites in eastern Ukraine operated by PJSC Ukrnafta, a subsidiary of the Naftogaz Group. The attacks destroyed critical equipment, forcing the shutdown of several facilities and causing significant production losses.
Acting Naftogaz CEO Serhiy Fedorenko described the operation as the most extensive shelling of Ukrnafta facilities in recent months. Within the same 24-hour period, Russian forces also attacked four Ukrnafta filling stations located in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
No casualties were reported among staff or customers during the strikes. Naftogaz reported that since the beginning of 2026, Russian forces have destroyed 32 Ukrnafta filling stations and five PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia complexes.
