TeraWulf Doubles Muskie Data Campus Power to 1 Gigawatt

TeraWulf Inc. amended its agreement with Kentucky Power to increase capacity at its Muskie Data Campus to 1 gigawatt by 2029.

TeraWulf Inc. amended its electric service agreement with Kentucky Power to double the contracted power capacity at the Muskie Data Campus in eastern Kentucky from 500 megawatts to 1 gigawatt. The agreement accelerates the delivery of the campus's second 500 MW phase from 2030 to 2029, though this remains subject to the utility's construction schedule and approval from the Kentucky Public Service Commission.

The first 500 MW phase is expected to begin ramping in 2028. TeraWulf acquired the site in May 2026 to develop a high-performance computing and AI campus and is currently evaluating a further expansion to 2 GW. To support this growth, Kentucky Power is constructing a 765-kV / 345-kV substation to link the campus to the regional transmission network.

CEO Paul Prager stated that customer interest in the site has been tremendous and that securing the additional power provides the company greater flexibility to meet deployment needs.
