Nikhil Kamath and Sreeram Reddy Vanga Invest ₹250 Crore in CtrlS
Nikhil Kamath and Sreeram Reddy Vanga invested ₹250 crore in CtrlS Datacenters Ltd. to expand AI and cloud infrastructure across India.
Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and entrepreneur Sreeram Reddy Vanga have invested a combined ₹250 crore in CtrlS Datacenters Ltd. to fund the expansion of digital infrastructure across India. Kamath contributed ₹200 crore of the total, while Vanga provided ₹50 crore.
The capital will be used to increase capacity to meet rising demand for cloud, AI, and digital workloads. CtrlS currently operates 19 data centers across nine Indian markets with over 370MW of capacity, with an additional 4.4GW of projects in various stages of execution.
This funding follows a July strategic partnership with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, which committed up to ₹7,000 crore through a direct stake acquisition and a joint venture to develop hyperscale data center campuses. The series of investments signals a broader push to ensure India's underlying infrastructure keeps pace with its digital ambitions.
