Stellantis Recalls 1.5 Million Ram 1500 Trucks Over Seat Belts

Stellantis is recalling 1.5 million Ram 1500 pickup trucks worldwide because seat belt buckle anchors may not be properly attached to the vehicle body.

Stellantis is recalling more than 1.5 million Ram 1500 pickup trucks globally due to a safety defect involving seat belt buckle anchors. The recall affects model years 2019 through 2026, specifically targeting vehicles where the second-row center or driver-side seat belt buckle anchor may not have been properly attached to the vehicle's body structure.

This attachment failure could compromise seat belt performance, increasing the risk of passenger injury during a crash. The company reported one potentially related injury but no fatalities associated with the defect.

Of the total recalled vehicles, approximately 1.27 million are in the United States, 156,000 are in Canada, 15,000 are in Mexico, and 75,000 are in other global markets. Impacted owners will be notified to schedule inspections with dealers, who will secure the anchors if necessary.
