Iran Army Commander Pledges Response to U.S. Airstrikes
Army Commander Amir Hatami pledged a formidable response to U.S. airstrikes in southern Iran and claimed the Islamic Republic emerged as the decisive victor.
Major General Amir Hatami, the Army Commander of Iran, pledged a formidable response to any further provocations following lethal United States airstrikes on southern Iran on Tuesday. Hatami declared that Iran emerged as the "decisive victor" from recent conflicts with the United States and Israel, asserting that the Islamic Republic is now receiving greater international respect due to its demonstrated power.
The U.S. strikes triggered responsive missile and drone operations by the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeting U.S. interests across the region. Iranian officials claimed these operations significantly depleted U.S. stockpiles of Patriot and THAAD interceptors and resulted in the loss of numerous Reaper drones.
Hatami further alleged that the United States is attempting to incite internal disturbances within Iran to achieve its objectives after suffering military setbacks.
