Vice President JD Vance Visits Maine Manufacturing Facility

Vice President JD Vance will visit Brewer, Maine, on Monday to deliver remarks at CompoTech, a defense and composites manufacturer. The White House announced the visit in a news release on Thursday, though officials have not yet disclosed the specific topic of the address.

This trip marks the second time Vance has visited Maine this year. In May, he held a rally at Bangor International Airport where he criticized Governor Janet Mills and linked illegal immigration to Medicaid fraud.

The Maine Democratic Party characterized the upcoming visit as an effort to pitch the Trump administration's failing agenda. Governor Mills previously dismissed Vance's rhetoric during his May visit as a weak attempt to distract from the administration's record.
