Astec Industries Reports Record Q2 Revenue and Lowers Guidance
Astec Industries reported record second-quarter revenues of $408.1 million but lowered its full-year EBITDA guidance due to asphalt plant shipment delays.
Astec Industries Inc. reported record second-quarter 2026 revenues of $408.1 million on August 5, 2026, representing a 23.6% year-on-year increase. While net sales slightly exceeded Wall Street expectations and the company's backlog grew 57.9% to $601.1 million, it missed analyst estimates for adjusted earnings per share and adjusted EBITDA, which stood at $42.6 million.
Growth was primarily driven by the Materials Solutions segment, where sales rose 43%. However, the company faced challenges in its Infrastructure Solutions segment. CEO Jaco van der Merwe attributed shifts in asphalt plant delivery timing to macro-driven events, including higher oil prices.
Due to these shipment delays, the company reduced its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance. The previous forecast of $170 million to $190 million was lowered to a new range of $160 million to $175 million.
