Delhi High Court Orders Kent RO to Remove Ads

The Delhi High Court ordered Kent RO Systems to remove disparaging advertisements targeting Urban Company within 15 days of an August 12 hearing. Urban Company filed the defamation and disparagement suit on August 11, 2026, alleging that Kent RO used a concerted campaign, including social media influencers, to make false claims about Native water purifiers, specifically models M0, M1, M2, M1 Pro, and M2 Pro.

Urban Company alleged that the advertisements characterized the Native purifiers' two-year filter and service life features as a "marketing gimmick" and claimed the products were "unsafe" and "risky" for consumers. During the proceedings, Justice A J Bhambhani presided over the case, and Kent RO undertook to withdraw the disputed content and committed to avoiding future promotional material that disparages Urban Company's no-servicing or filter features.

This legal action is part of a broader conflict between the two firms. The companies are currently engaged in other sub-judice disputes, including a patent infringement suit filed by Kent RO, a counterclaim by Urban Company, and a separate suit filed by Urban Company regarding tortious interference and the alleged removal of its products from e-commerce platforms.
