Panattoni Proposes Waterless Data Center Campus in Indiantown

Developers of Project Silver Fox hosted a community open house on Monday in Indiantown, Florida, to present a revised proposal for a 606-acre hyperscale data center campus. Led by Panattoni Data Centers and Ferreira Construction Company, Inc., the project is planned for land already zoned for industrial use near Southwest Warfield Boulevard and Silver Fox Lane.

Project executive Adam Kramer stated the facility would be waterless, meaning it would not rely on the local water supply. Kramer claimed the project could generate $44 million annually in tax revenue to support infrastructure projects in rural Martin County. Kloee Ciuperger, CEO of the Economic Council of Indiantown, also highlighted the potential tax revenue as a primary benefit.

Local residents expressed opposition during the meeting, citing concerns over noise pollution, heat generation, and increased traffic on Road 710. Critics described the billion-dollar project as a money grab, specifically noting its proximity to a local school and residential homes. The proposal is currently undergoing site plan review, with a final decision expected from the Indiantown Village Council in the coming months.
